Craig Villa Guest House

Lovely B&B We stayed at Craig Villa on our way home from Mull. Taryn and Ewan were the perfect hosts most welcoming, friendly and attentive, The room was beautifully decorated. We didn't use the communal lounge but it looked cosy. The food was fantastic and the hosts accommodated our plant based diet. We had the vegan Canadian pancakes which were delicious. Would highly recommend and will definitely go back.

Lovely B&B in an idyllic setting Lovely B&B with amazing food and very welcoming and helpful hosts set in an amazing location. Ewan and Taryn were extremely helpful and have an encyclopaedic knowledge of the local area. Plenty to do whether you like walking, biking, seeing the sights or just relaxing in the beautiful environment.

Incredible B&B nestled in the heart of the Highlands Amazing place and ambience in the Scottish Highlands. Taryn and Ewan are first class hosts and go out of their way to make sure you are well taken care of and comfortable. The wood burning hot tub in the middle of the Scottish Hillside is the perfect place to unwind and enjoy life. Oh and the farm fresh eggs (laid by free-run chickens they raise on the property) were the best we'd ever had!!!! Would DEFINITELY recommend and go back in a heartbeat!!!

A destination not a stopover! Where to start… we loved every minute of our two night stay at Craig Villa! Ewan and Taryn could not have been more perfect hosts. They were friendly, attentive and shared their inside knowledge of the beautiful area of Dalmally and the surrounding area of Argyle and Bute. We stayed in room 6, which was beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean. The gorgeous four poster bed was so comfortable, we slept like logs! The communal lounge is so cosy and boasts a quirky record collection that plays during breakfast. The food was fantastic, the Canadian pancakes are a must! Ewan and Taryn had great tips for getting around and helped us navigate the path for the Munro’s. They also offered a tasty packed lunch that we took on our hike. We completed the Dalmally horseshoe route which was great fun and challenging. There’s loads more we could have done and will be definitely back in the future to bag the rest. We cannot thank Ewan and Taryn enough for really completing our stay. My partner and I got engaged on our Hike and were met with a bubbly surprise from the hosts. They played an integral part in our special weekend. I look forward to staying with them again.

Wonderful find We had such a lovely stay at Craig Villa guest house. The house is beautiful, beds super comfy and the breakfast was delicious (especially the pancakes). The hosts Taryn and Ewan were amazing, super welcoming and full of knowledge of beautiful local spots and eateries. We will definitely be back!

Wonderful experience We had such a great time at craig villa guest house. The building is historical and beautiful, the bedroom big and cozy. The hosts are a nice couple always ready to suggest you place to visit in the area. We enjoyed the breakfast too and we recommend the Canadian pancakes. We would definitely return!

Perfect place to stay! First time trip to Dalmally for us in October 2020 and we chose the perfect place to stay. Ewan and Taryn were amazing hosts, warm and friendly without being intrusive, and loads of local advice about what to go and see in the time we had available. The hotel itself was just brilliant; our rooms were spotlessly clean, nice fresh decor throughout and several nice touches that really made it different without the twee tartan and shortbread tin look that so many places opt for. Breakfast was freshly cooked and the Canadian pancakes were an unusual option that our kids just loved. With the covid effect meaning many local restaurants were closed early the offer was even there to do a quick pizza and chips for us in the evening if we had wanted! Overall very happy with our stay here and really hope to return sometime soon.

Lovely place to stay Booked this last minute and what a find. Very warm welcome and felt extremely well looked after during our stay- nothing was too much bother. A beautiful house with a beautiful shared lounge and very tastefully decorated bedrooms. Only criticism is that the water in the showers took a long time to heat up and the water pressure wasn’t great. However we would definitely stay here again if in the area. Breakfast was delicious (can definitely recommend the full Scottish breakfast and the Canadian pancakes) and we took advantage of the packed lunch service for our day up Ben Cruachan.
